Michelle Hrivnyak is Faculty Specialist in Anthropology at the Institute for Intercultural and Anthropological Studies, Western Michigan University. Her research focuses broadly on human-environment interactions and adaptation. More specifically, her work involves reconstructing diet, health, and mobility
patterns through isotopic and bioarchaeological analyses. She has worked on a variety of fieldwork and analytical projects in south-west Siberia, the central Eurasian steppe region, and North America.
